Anika Noi Rose is an American singer/actress is a well-known name in the entertainment industry. Most famously, she is the voice of Tiana In The Princess and the Frog as the first African American Disney princess. The film was awarded her the title of an official Disney Legend in 2011. Rose is most well-known for her part as Lorrell Robinson, the character from Dreamgirls. Anika Noni rose (born on the 6th September 1973) is an American actress and a singer. Most famously, she is known for playing Tiana as the Princess, and the Frog's 2009 African-American princess. She was recognized as a Disney Legend in 2011. Also, she has a prominent part, playing Lorrell Robinson, in Dreamgirls (2007) that has been nominated to win an Academy Award. And she performs the role of LaVerne Jukebox Ganner on Starz's series Power. Her other notable roles include in the theatre, especially in the role of Emmie Thibodeaux and Emmie Broadway show Caroline or Change (2004) and for which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured Actress in a Musical award was given to her and Beneatha Youther in the Broadway Remake of A Raisin in the Sun (2015) in which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured Performance in a Musical was nominated for her.
