Adults are human or other animal that has reached complete growth.The biological meaning of the word means the animal has reached sexual maturity and thus capable of reproducing. Within the human realm, adult is a reference to social and legal concepts. In contrast to a non-adult or "minor" legally adult is a person who is at the point of majority. They are considered independent, self-sufficient, and accountable. The term "major" can be applied to them. The point at which a person becomes an adult legally is 18, however, the definition of maturity is different based upon the nation or legal system in place, and also the state of their mental health.

When it comes to the life span of a human being Adulthood refers to the point in which the person is at the point of complete intellectual and physical maturation. The age of adulthood typically begins at 21, which is the average age for adults. Then, after middle age (starting about 40 years old) is the time to reach older age (around the age of 60). In adulthood there are three distinct phases The first is early adulthood (18-30 years), Middle Adulthood (30-60 years) and late adulthood (60%-60 60%). When we enter an early age (20 to mid-40s), our physical maturation is complete, although the size and weight of our bodies may increase slightly. In early adulthood our physical abilities reach their highest levels. This includes muscle strength as well as reaction speed.
